This artwork explores how the natural state of the land is rendered artificial through human interventions. Two domesticated island environments are intentionally compared. History at the Bloedel Reserve has been recorded and is visible, while the Port Blakely site is an unintentional artifact of history. Except for complexity, both sites have far more in common than they have differences.
