POETRY CORNERS 2010

In celebration of National Poetry Month, the Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities Council presents Poetry Corners, an exhibition of poetry written by local poets on display in the windows of local businesses. This year the theme is “hands” and we invite you to take a walking tour of the exhibit and read the many interesting poems that were selected. A record number of poems were submitted and 50 were chosen to be part of Poetry Corners. The poems are being displayed in three Island areas, Lynwood Center, Winslow Green, and Winslow Way. The poems are listed below, alphabetically by area.

POETRY CORNERS READING

In addition to this familiar and much-enjoyed tradition, the Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities Council also offers an opportunity to hear the selected poems read aloud by their authors  at the BIAHC Poetry Corners Reading, which will held at the Flowering Around Sunroom Café, at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2009.
